There is nothing I like more than baking cupcakes of all kinds! There are times however when I need a cupcake recipe that adds a twist of creativity to one of my favorite desserts. My roundup today includes new, interesting cupcake recipes that I have collected over the years.
1. Coffee Cupcakes
Desserts and coffee go together like a dream. Whether you have it as a drink or a dessert flavored with coffee, the bittersweet pairing balances any dessert! Smooth, silky coffee-flavored buttercream finishes these light espresso sponge cupcakes off perfectly!
This recipe calls for buttercream that differs slightly from traditional American buttercream. Adding butter to the icing sugar and coffee creates a consistency similar to royal icing. A silky buttercream is the result of this process, which melts the coffee and sugar. Trying it once is the only way you will ever want to return to your regular frosting.

2. Watermelon Cupcakes
A weekly baking session with my granddaughter takes place in my kitchen. Taking inspiration from her mommy’s syrups, we created these yummy watermelon cupcakes. Watermelon cupcakes are the perfect summer treat! By halving the frosting amount, you won’t need to pipe the frosting. Chocolate chips are the perfect addition to watermelon seeds! These cupcakes would be a wonderful addition to any one-in-a-melon party!
There’s just something about watermelon-themed things that appeal to me, so I was excited to try this Watermelon Cupcakes Recipe. Making these cupcakes is so much fun and your family will be impressed. Any time I come across a recipe for watermelon cupcakes or watermelon cakes, they end up being pretty complicated. This cake is made with a cake mix, but it has so many delicious additions that it will look like it was baked from scratch.

3. Turtles Cupcakes
My mouth is watering as I prepare today’s recipe! Let’s kick off the New Year with cupcakes made from my favorite cake ever! Ever since my incredible Turtle Chocolate Layer Cake exploded in popularity, I’ve wanted to make cupcakes with it. The cupcake version is much simpler and takes less time and energy to make. You shouldn’t get this twisted though, these cupcakes are still just as delicious as the famous cake!
Following baking and cooling, caramel buttercream frosting is piped generously over the cupcakes. You can use this buttercream on cupcakes, brownies, cakes, cookies, and even directly off the spatula. Adding chocolate chips, pecans, and caramel sauce to these cupcakes completes the recipe. These sweet treats are indulgent and will satisfy any craving on those days when calorie counting doesn’t matter. Whenever I make them for a special occasion, they are my go-to dessert.

4. Cotton Candy Cupcakes
The day has been designated as National Cotton Candy Day! The fact that national food days exist makes me even more excited about baking since I can come up with more and more creative desserts! Although I had a gazillion recipes in my head for National Cotton Candy Day, I decided that cupcakes were the best and most convenient choice. You won’t believe how delicious and moist these cotton candy cupcakes are, and they are filled with real cotton candy! The best part is that they’re not only delicious but also adorable!
Probably three years ago, I sent myself a note asking me to make these cupcakes. It is beyond my comprehension why it took me so long to make them! There was nothing but awe from my kids when they saw them, and they were captivated. These cupcakes make the perfect birthday party treat if your child has a party coming up! In reality, if you are planning a birthday party in the near future, these are the cupcakes that you should have someone make for you. Cotton candy is our favorite candy, let’s face it. Everything remains the same in some ways.

5. S’mores Brownie Cupcakes
I enjoy it even more since my three-year-old is completely obsessed with marshmallows. Incentives may or may not be used regularly depending on her sneakiness as a good behavior incentive. Her first move was to eat the marshmallows on top of these before moving on to the graham cracker and brownie layers. Summer is the perfect time to make s’mores desserts, so I had to make one as well.
It’s hard to believe that these brownie cupcakes are actually s’mores. Using the same ingredients as s’mores, you don’t have to start the fire. In addition, I used a kitchen torch to toast my marshmallows, taking the process a step further. To toast the marshmallows, I bought a kitchen torch from the store. It won’t be long before I’m making crème brûlée to justify the purchase, but for the time being, toasting marshmallows do just fine.

6. Pink Velvet Cupcakes
This recipe is perfect for celebrating a special occasion with a sweet treat. Because I adore anything pink or red, these pink cupcakes are a favorite of mine. It is also one of my favorite things to bake sugar cookies. The item is so beautiful and fun! As a cupcake lover, I can’t help but admit it. These cakes are perfect serving sizes, can be decorated easily, and are more manageable than full-layer cakes. Alternatively, you can make mini cupcakes out of them!
It always seemed intimidating to me to make cupcakes, and adding a whole bottle of food coloring to my batter seemed daunting as well. This pink velvet cupcake recipe sounded so good, I immediately wanted to try it out! With just a few drops of pink food coloring, they are simple to make, and I always have the ingredients on hand. Whether you’re bringing them to a class party or sharing them with your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day, these cupcakes are perfect.

7. Pumpkin Spice Latte Cupcakes
Cupcakes are one of my favorite things to bake, and I love starting the week with them! It’s impossible to resist these miniature-sized cakes, which are full of flavor and stunning in appearance. Cupcakes with pumpkin spice latte flavor have been in the works for a long time. Those of you who are new around here may not know I adore stuff inspired by Starbucks lattes. Cakes made from lattes are clearly the result of a passion for recreating lattes.
Featuring pumpkin spice flavor alongside rich mocha flavor, these pumpkin spice latte cupcakes live up to their namesake. Pumpkin is the main ingredient in these cupcakes, not pumpkin juice. Espresso powder and pumpkin puree are infused into the cupcake batter. The espresso powder, however, should be dissolved for a more blended flavor. Cream cheese frosting is then topped on the cupcakes. Because there is always room for more coffee, these pumpkin cupcakes have a coffee cream cheese frosting.

8. Neapolitan Cupcakes
There is no learning to be gained from this. Whenever I make Neapolitan Cupcakes again, I will eat two at a time and once again have difficulty securing my pants. Those are the life circumstances of cupcake addicts. It is impossible for me to be distracted by suspenders when I am concentrating on chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry dessert flavors. We just upgraded all three Neapolitan classics to cupcakes.
An elegant buttercream topped with freeze-dried strawberries enlivens these chocolate vanilla cupcakes. A triple-flavored cupcake with all the authenticity of Neapolitan ice cream without melting on a hot day, these cupcakes are simply delicious. An iced cupcake with layers of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla is decorated with a sweet frosted topping. Don’t forget to wear stretchy pants all summer long so that you can enjoy them to the fullest.

9. Peanut Butter Cookie Dough
Indulgent snacks like edible cookie dough are my favorite indulgences. My favorite way to eat raw cookie dough is to skip the baking part altogether when I’m baking cookies. With my edible cookie dough recipes, that problem can be solved! Suitable for eating without baking, this cookie dough tastes delicious. No longer do you need to be ashamed of eating spoonfuls of dough; you can enjoy it without being embarrassed. In contrast to regular cookie dough, our cookie dough contains no unsafe ingredients.
The addictive yumminess of unbaked treats just makes me love them even more! Peanut butter cookies are always a highlight, whether you lick the spoon used to stir the dough or just grab a cookie before it’s put in the oven! The raw flour in this cookie dough is baked out to remove any bacteria that may be present in it so it is completely safe to eat! Grab a bite and dig in! Surely you would like to!

10. Sangria Cupcakes
I feel all sorts of icky, bad feelings whenever I see it. It was terrible to find out last Sunday evening since no one works on Sundays. It’s been happening for four months, and it’s getting worse! Keep your lectures about how I should check over my statements more often and yadda out of my ears. That’s already become apparent to me. Let me make a little public service announcement instead because I hope you won’t experience this!
This fun, fruity, and fresh sangria cupcakes will make summer celebrations even better. I like to drink cold sangria at backyard barbecues, but it isn’t complete without a pitcher. You can choose from red, white, berry, or citrus. You are welcome to hand me a tall glass and a pitcher. You can enjoy these sangria cupcakes at your summer celebration with this sweet treat. An enjoyable start to a weekend can be found in them. The beginning of this week has been quite busy for me.

11. Tiramisu Cupcakes
You can get a taste of the real deal, in the form of tiramisu cupcakes! Cakes are soaked in an espresso and rum mixture and taste like ladyfingers. These delicious treats are topped with mascarpone custard, whipped cream, and chocolate chips. Rather than baking extra-long cupcakes, I bake extra-short cupcakes, so as to leave room for the mascarpone custard and whipped cream topping. While this recipe requires some time and effort, it is well worth the effort.
Cupcakes with tiramisu filling are delicious. Due to the fact that they use a boxed cake mix, they are fairly easy to prepare. Depending on your needs, these can be decorated quite elegantly & fancy for brunches, bridal showers, or whatever else you require for your event. A fair amount of money can be spent on these at gourmet bakeries, coffee shops, and cafes. Also, I use cupcake liners to make my cupcakes look more professional.

12. Samoas Cupcakes
Spring is in the air, spring break is here, Saint Patrick’s Day is here, Easter is just around the corner, and it’s Girl Scout Cookie Season! There are three cookies that I love most from Girl Scouts: Samoa, Thin Mints, and Tagalongs. Even though I don’t dig the new names, I’ll take the cookies whatever you call them. The story goes that if there were no cookie by any other name, it would still taste as good.
Your mouth will be a party all the way through. My cupcake mimicked the shortbread in the cookie by using yellow cake and then dipping it in a ganache similar to the bottom of a Samoa. I can’t get enough of the caramel buttercream! It would be delicious to eat by the spoonful! In addition to adding flavor, they add a little crunch to the cupcake as well. I’m a texture freak if you know what I mean. To create an extra tasty mess, I drizzled more caramel and ganache over the cupcakes. You’ll be blown away by these Samoa Cupcakes!

13. Banana Pudding Cupcakes
A classic dessert like this inspires me to make a lot of recipes. There are many banana pudding desserts I have to offer, including Banana Pudding Cheesecake, Banana Pudding Pie, and more! There are a few recipes I enjoy more than this one. We have high standards here in the south, so it must meet those standards! Delicious banana pudding cupcakes filled with white cupcakes and topped with homemade buttercream frosting.
It’s no secret that I love banana pudding and cupcakes, so I highly recommend trying my recipe for Banana Pudding Cupcakes! Homemade banana pudding cupcakes topped with rich buttercream are deliciously moist and full of banana flavor. A handheld banana dessert that’s perfect for banana lovers!

14. Margarita Cupcakes
We are allowed to gorge ourselves on chips, salsa, guacamole, and margaritas on this one day every year. It’s kind of a foodie heaven. Moreover, in Mexico, this day is ceremonial in nature and has historical significance. These margarita cupcakes are a tasty way to wash down a Mexican feast since margaritas are a classic Mexican cocktail!
My first attempt at making these cupcakes was many years ago when all that was available online were margarita recipe box cake mixes. My original vision wasn’t really what I was looking for, but after further searching, I found this recipe from The Brewer & The Baker for margarita cupcakes. In fact, the cupcakes didn’t contain tequila and the frosting didn’t contain tequila either. This recipe will make you crave margaritas. These are excellent for picnics and cookouts all summer long!

15. Lemon Swirl Cupcakes
The best thing you can do when life hands you lemons is to bake a whole lot of lemon cupcakes!! A favorite of mine is this lemony-fluffy cupcake recipe, I love the fluffy, moist crumb and lemony frosting. When it comes to a perfect bite, there is nothing better. It was such a simple and effective decoration idea to use buttercream lemons. No matter how you make them, these are delicious, but I highly recommend using those piping tips if you feel like it!
Like my lemon cake, these lemon cupcakes have a mild, sweet lemon flavor. Just enough lemon flavor to make you squint your eyes and pucker up your lips, but not too much so that you feel sick afterward. Those cupcakes probably look familiar to you, as we use the same base recipe for my lemon cupcakes with blackberry cream cheese frosting, and double the recipe for a lemon blueberry cake.

16. Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cupcakes
It combines my best chocolate cupcake recipe and my cream cheese frosting, two of my all-time favorites. The combination of the two creates a decadent cupcake that tastes eerily like a chocolate cheesecake! Despite this, it is actually quite simple to make and can be done without worrying about cracks. Because cheesecake cupcakes are perfectly portioned, delicious cheesecakes, they are a versatile dessert.
Get-togethers, picnics, and bake sales are perfect occasions for chocolate chip cheesecake cupcakes. This chocolate chip cheesecake cupcake recipe is perfect for cheesecake lovers. Topped with chocolate chips, these treats are eye-catching and delicious! Here’s a recipe for Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cupcakes that you’ll love. My thanks will come later if you do not thank me now. Cupcakes topped with Cheesecake Frosting and rich chocolate! This delicious cake is loaded with chocolate chips and tangy cream cheese frosting!

17. Chocolate Peppermint Cupcakes
It took me so long but I finally came up with the perfect chocolate cupcake recipe! In the past, I have experimented with many different chocolate cupcake recipes and never found one that I really loved. A chocolate bar is either too dense, too dry, too oily, or too cocoa-filled. A peppermint chocolate cupcake is a perfect treat for the holidays! You’ll love how deliciously chocolatey they are, particularly as they are paired with peppermint flavors.
Moreover, I enjoy the fact that these cupcakes don’t sink down and flatten when you remove them from the oven. The tops of these flowers keep their pretty, rounded shape. Besides, most of the ingredients are likely to be on hand, so it’s an easy little recipe to make. My favorite part of this peppermint chocolate cupcake is the combination of flavors. Chocolate and peppermint blend together perfectly when cream cheese is added to the buttercream frosting. It also adds more decadence than buttercream frosting alone.

18. Cherry Coke Cupcakes
As a result, these Cherry Coke cupcakes are super moist, due to Cherry Coke being baked into the cake. In addition to giving the frosting its hue, maraschino cherry juice provides an extra hit of sweetness. Chocolate cupcakes topped with cherry buttercream are infused with soda and baked with soda-infused chocolate cake! The cupcakes look like they would be fun and retro throwbacks to the 50s. You can imagine them in poodle skirts and sockhops for any party theme.
There’s nothing better than a cherry Coke for me. Ice-cold Sonic Cokes with cherry syrup is truly unbeatable. Chocolate is added to these Cherry Coke Cupcakes for a new twist on classic cherry coke flavors! They are even more amazing because of this. These brownies are made using a chocolate cake mix, so they are quick and easy yet so tasty! You owe it to yourself to try these cherry coke cupcakes if you’re a fan of cherry coke like me!

19. Vanilla Pumpkin Cupcake
Those who know me know I love pumpkin everything! Having made these pumpkin cupcakes so many times, they’ve almost become a fall tradition in my household. The minute I start to smell the first hints of autumn, I get requests for these delicious cupcakes! The fact that cake mix and instant pudding mix are used is what I love about them. Here’s a little secret that will make your life so much easier!
It was this taste sensation that led to our Vanilla Pumpkin Cupcakes. Cinnamon Buttercream Frosting and a hint of pumpkin flavor make up this soft and moist vanilla cupcake! The perfect cupcakes for any occasion are vanilla pumpkin cupcakes. Since most people associate pumpkin with fall, these vanilla pumpkin cupcakes are not just a great treat for Halloween or Thanksgiving, but also make a great treat for any time during the fall.

20. Almond Joy Cupcakes
During the week of Valentine’s day, it’s also my fiancé’s birthday, so a lot of celebrations are taking place. However, he isn’t eating any sugar right now, so even my favorite chocolate cake won’t be able to delight him on this birthday. As far as Almond Joy Cupcakes are concerned, I am going to enjoy them all by myself. Besides, he’d probably not eat these because he prefers simple chocolate cupcakes and tells me I often stuff my desserts with too many ingredients.
Served with an airy coconut frosting and a chocolate and almond garnish, these chocolate cupcakes feature a sweetened coconut filling. There’s a lot to chew on there, but it’s certainly worth it. Pick up a box of chocolate cake mix and make it easy on yourself. Butter is increased in volume by this method, which leads to the frosting being enriched with air bubbles. A coconut lover’s dream, these Almond Joy Cupcakes are sure to delight you.

21. Salted Caramel Cupcakes
You’ll find salted caramel in coffees, sweet bread, and everything in between. It is really nice to have dark chocolate bars with salted caramel. Using my favorite frozen yogurt flavor, Salted Caramel Pretzel, as inspiration, I made these cupcakes. The flavor of that yogurt was always my favorite on date nights, topped with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and sugared caramel. Especially when combined with salt, chocolate is irresistible because of its salty-sweet combination. Of course, we’ll have cupcakes as well. You can’t go wrong with cupcakes.
My current obsession with salted caramels is my Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and I have been wanting to make something else with that flavor. To give these Salted Caramel Cupcakes a caramel flavor, I’ve used light brown sugar in the sponge, salted caramel sauce has been mixed into the buttercream, salted caramel sauce is added to the filling, then topped with a bit of the sauce and salted caramel fudge. You’ll be blown away by the salty caramel flavor!

22. Butterfinger Cupcakes
My main reason for dressing up as a witch was to go trick-or-treating in a costume. There is no doubt that Butterfingers are a fan favorite. A delicious way to consume Butterfinger is with these cupcakes. In addition to being light, fluffy, and delicious, the cupcake contains a lot of peanut butter. You can crush up Butterfinger easily and quickly using a food chopper. A little layer of chocolate ganache is added once the cupcakes are baked. Because Butterfingers are covered in chocolate, the chocolate should break up the peanut butter.
Crushed Butterfingers are layered with peanut butter frosting atop the cupcakes. Butterfinger tastes distinct and perfectly peanut buttery when combined with everything else. The cookies I shared with my friends were a big hit! In the beginning, they denied eating them because they were too pretty, but they soon got over that and devoured everything. Wishing you a wonderful time with them!

23. Hot Chocolate Cupcakes
Today, I’m experiencing a little depression as time flies by. Having one of my best friends and her family move today makes me feel like my heart is broken. When you say goodbye to someone you love, you know the pain and uncertainty that comes with not knowing when or if your paths will cross again. It has been a privilege for me to make some very dear friends in the military, friends who are like sisters to me. As I write this, I am having a hard time dealing with my friend’s decision to leave me today. Yet, the worst part of all is I am not the only one who has lost a best friend.
There are two little troublemakers in a pod, my friend’s son and him! Last night, watching them say goodbye to each other made me cry. Since preschool, they’ve been buddies. My little boy is not aware of what’s happening, and I know I will feel many heartaches on his behalf over the coming years. It is amazing to me how deeply a mother feels all of her child’s emotions, even when they cannot yet articulate them. I will probably have one of those things nearby if you try to find me over the next few weeks.
