You may already know how to make a cake from scratch or how to bake the perfect pie crust from your mother. Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and now is the perfect time to show her how much you’ve learned and show her how grateful you are. Take Mom out to a fun Mother’s Day activity such as making a cake together while you get busy baking. Regardless of which dessert you choose, you won’t go wrong when it comes to treating Mom this Mother’s Day.
Be sure to surprise your mom with a sweet treat, no matter how big or small your celebration. You can tell they are sincere even though they may not cost as much. It doesn’t matter what cake you serve, just make sure you serve it after brunch or dinner on Mother’s Day. It’s time to treat your mother like a queen by giving her these delicious homemade cupcakes. Make sure your mom gets the first slice as well.
1. Chocolate Creme Cupcakes
Rich and moist chocolate cupcakes topped with ganache and whipped buttercream. There’s nothing more delicious than these cream-filled chocolate cupcakes, which are perfect for birthday parties or any other occasion. This cupcake is just like Hostess chocolate cupcakes with chocolate on top and cream in the middle.
As these are made from scratch, they’re much better and have a lot more flavor. Here’s some important stuff before you scroll! It is true that these are addictive, and it is fun that you can adjust the filling amount. If you wish, you can decorate the top of the cupcakes as well. The one I made had sprinkles on it. Making the cupcakes or making the whipped filling the day before you intend to put it all together is probably a good idea. It will save you some time rather than having to do it all at once.

2. Caramel Macchiato Cupcakes
The experience I had working as a barista throughout college will never be forgotten. I often discuss this experience here since it opened my eyes to so many delicious flavors, pastries, and techniques. Cross-hatching was one of those techniques. In preparation for the caramel macchiato that dominated the menu at the time, I learned this. Whether it was hot or iced, each caramel macchiato was adorned with a cross-hatch of caramel. Even caramel frappuccinos would be enhanced by adding it to the top since it adds a beautiful look to the drink.
Using this technique for this recipe was something I dusted off and dusted off again. An awesome coffee-flavored cake recipe inspired me to make caramel macchiato cupcakes. A caramel buttercream was paired with it to mimic the flavor of the sweet caramel macchiato everyone enjoyed years ago. Those cross-hatched cupcakes wouldn’t be complete without them.
Cupcakes made with real coffee are topped with caramel buttercream and salted caramel sauce, resulting in a coffee-flavored treat. Caramel sauce is something I make myself! It is a lot of work to make caramel sauce for one recipe, so I will not judge if you buy the sauce instead. I’m not going to tell you how to make it, but if you have the time, you’ll find it’s super easy!

3. Chai Tea Cupcakes
I’m sharing my favorite cupcake of the season, well so far! It’s the end of the week! This recipe is my favorite of all those I’ve cooked this week because I’m overly excited about fall. It was obvious as soon as I made these that I was going to love them. Anyone would agree that this cupcake screams fall loud and clear. Although it’s cheesy, I’m excited, and well, I’m really fond of the fall season.
These cupcakes are filled with chai latte frosting and topped with caramel brulee. This cupcake is like autumn in a sweet form, and it is so good! Warming spices and brown sugar make these extra sweet chai-spiced cupcakes extra delicious. The frosting is generously spread on each cupcake and tastes like caramel. A sprinkle of salted caramel brulee candy finished off the dessert. We absolutely adore this place! It wouldn’t be a party without these cute little cupcakes.
I naturally turned to my favorite fancy coffee shop beverage: a warm chai latte, when brainstorming new cupcake recipes. Whether you want to serve your coworker’s seasonal cupcakes, an impressive ending to a Friday night dinner party, a Sunday football treat, or you just love chai tea lattes as I do, these chai latte cupcakes are a fall must-try dessert that you can make ahead of time.

4. Mimosa Cupcakes
Here is a recipe for Mimosa Cupcakes that you can make at home! This delicious cupcake uses orange juice, orange zest, and champagne, making them both light and fluffy. Whether it’s Easter, Mother’s Day, or New Year’s Eve, I love making these cupcakes for brunch! The drink is one of my favorites for celebrations. This drink is so fizzy and refreshing! In addition to me, there are many people who enjoy this cocktail!
Several weeks ago, I held a poll on IG stories asking what you guys loved about brunch and got more than 2,000 replies proclaiming love for mimosas. My next step would have been to come up with a post explaining how to make the perfect mimosa using the feedback I received.
Taking the time to do that was pointless. A mimosa is as simple as buying champagne, adding it to a glass, and topping it off with a bit of orange juice! My best skill is baking, so I decided to turn to that instead. The recipe for my mimosa cupcakes was taken from my mimosa recipe! I’m telling you, it’s just as yummy as it sounds!

5. S’mores Cupcakes
A coworker grabbed one and his first reaction was to express surprise. We have gotten together as a group of bloggers to bring copious amounts of s’mores-inspired treats. Still, these S’mores Cupcakes keep me coming back for more. There’s nothing like these S’mores cupcakes when it comes to a traditional s’more. That classic dessert will take her back to the campfire nights she spent with the kids.
This S’mores Cupcakes are the perfect way to end S’mores Week, even though I’m sad to see it end. S’mores cupcakes are made with chocolate cupcake batter, but before filling each cupcake liner with batter, a graham cracker crust is pressed into the bottom. Afterward, the chocolate cupcakes are topped with marshmallow icing that is swirled and toasted for an authentic S’mores style.

6. Vanilla Rose Cupcakes
The perfect treat for anyone who enjoys cute and pretty at the same time! The cake is crowned with a glittering candied rose petal topping and iced with a delicate rose water scent. The blog editors asked if I could come up with a special Valentine’s recipe for their readers, which I was delighted to do! There was a bottle of rosewater lingering in my cabinet, and I knew what to do with it right away.
We couldn’t ignore this recipe, so we’re sharing it with you! Getting the cupcakes and frosting together is a piece of cake. Rose petals take a little longer to arrange and require more effort. You should start by selecting organic, blemish-free roses. This will result in a beautiful finished product! Whenever I make them, these cupcakes are a big hit with me. When applying rose water, take care not to overdo it. Don’t be shy about putting in a little effort!

7. Marble Cupcakes
There are a few trusted cupcake recipes on my website that have been kitchen-tested and approved by readers. My mind was split between two kinds of cookies, but I wasn’t sure which to make. However, even for a bakeaholic like me, that seemed like too much work. My solution was to spice things up a bit. You won’t be able to resist these delicious chocolate and vanilla marble cupcakes! There will be licking of fingers involved between the chocolate buttercream and the marbled cupcakes!
There is a cupcake for every occasion! The key to making delicious desserts is to have easy and delicious recipes on hand! I suggest you also try my favorite delicious desserts, such as strawberry shortcake, chocolate zucchini cake, and brownies with chocolate chip cookie dough. The cupcakes you and your mom can make together are perfect if you’re new to baking.

8. Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes
Cupcakes are universally loved, and pineapple upside-down cake can’t be ignored. These favorites have been combined to create a sure-to-please treat. You can pack these pineapple upside-down cupcakes into lunches or use them as treats for family gatherings. Such recipes can be adapted so that they can be made entirely from scratch. This is essentially the original version simplified! They’re great for parties or luaus since they’re good warm or at room temperature.
I would prefer to make these myself if I could. You can do that if you wish. My sweet tooth has been calling me for years to make these Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes. You’ll love these Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes featuring butter, brown sugar, pineapple, and a cherry! Don’t eat them straight from the oven or you’ll burn your mouth.

9. Double Lemon Cupcakes
Summertime is the perfect time to make lemon cupcakes! You can make these fluffy, sweet, and lemon-flavored cupcakes in minutes! My favorite dessert has always been lemon. When we visited a bakery in North Carolina, we had the most delicious lemon layer cake I had ever had. It has been a family tradition for me to bake lemon cheesecake bites, lemon bars, and lemon blueberry scones since then.
Approximately two dozen mini cupcakes were made for our party, and none were left. The cupcake base recipe I use always is the same one I use to make cupcakes. Because the cupcake base contains sour cream, the cupcakes will stay fluffy and light! A bit of tanginess also helps cut through some of the cupcakes’ sweetness! It is also possible to replace sour cream with greek yogurt.
The lemon flavor in some lemon desserts isn’t overpowering, but if I make a lemon dessert, it shouldn’t be subtle. I want it to be clearly evident that it’s lemon! This cake is really well balanced with tartness and sweetness thanks to lemon buttercream. Perfect for summer parties, these lemon cupcakes are topped with buttercream frosting. You can’t go wrong with these double lemon cupcakes with buttercream if you want a perfect lemon dessert!

10. Champagne Cupcakes
As Mother’s Day approaches, champagne cupcakes with gold bling will be a perfect treat, as every mom deserves to be pampered. Despite the fact that motherhood is the best job in the world, it can be the most thankless and not the most glamorous. Let’s cheers to all of you moms, and thank you for your hard work!
White vanilla cupcakes elevated with champagne, a recipe from Boston Girl Bakes. In the buttercream, I used a champagne reduction technique to flavor it. Additionally, some of the concentrated reduction was brushed on top of the cupcakes to make the champagne flavor more prominent. Adding a splash of bubbly to these cupcakes not only brightens up the flavor, it also lightens up their texture.
You will love the fluffy and moist texture of these champagne cupcakes. Having a rich buttery flavor and an elegant aroma, they are delicious. Buttercream with champagne flavor is smooth, creamy, and bubbly. They’re perfect for Mother’s Day, New Year’s Eve, and any special occasion, especially in a cupcake form.

11. Mocha Cupcakes
Those who love chocolate and coffee will adore these mocha cupcakes. Nothing starts your day better than your favorite cup of coffee. My spoon could not stop me from eating it straight out of the bowl. You might even consider skipping your morning cup of coffee and going to Starbucks altogether and having one of these instead. In addition to its light chocolate flavor, the cake part also boasts a hint of creaminess from the coffee. The smooth, clean flavor is achieved by combining the two, leading to an espresso-spiked buttercream that’s not overwhelming.
The recipe takes very little effort in terms of preparation, which is what I love about it. After I got started, I had these babies baked in less than 30 minutes using my hand mixer. The texture of these cupcakes is incredible – they are so tender and soft, without the slightest hint of dryness. Basically, it’s the perfect cupcake and I can’t wait to use the same recipe in other recipes.
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not much of a coffee drinker, mostly because black coffee doesn’t appeal to me, so I need to doctor it up with milk, sugar, and cream to enjoy it, so I figured I’d have dessert instead… Oh, wait. I enjoy my coffee pretty much the same way as these mocha cupcakes. I ate it straight from the bowl without stopping. There’s a lot of stuff piled on top!

12. Conversation Cupcakes
Conversation Cupcakes have a rich cake filling and a fluffy marshmallow cream topping. I decorated these cookies with my favorite fun Valentine’s Day sayings and dipped them in silky smooth ganache frosting. Throughout this post, I will be promoting ALDI, my favorite grocery store for anything baking-related. The quality of everything at ALDI is amazing, and it’s incredibly affordable.
This recipe was basically made at ALDI with flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, sugar, organic coffee, and organic butter all readily available. It is also possible to have these ingredients delivered by Instacart if you prefer! Conversation cupcakes don’t have to be reserved for Valentine’s Day! Over silky smooth ganache frosting, sweet messages such as Love You and XO are a lovely way to show your love.

13. Margarita Cupcakes
It’s time to throw a party and serve these margarita cupcakes! Served with lime cream cheese frosting, these cupcakes are moist and fluffy. Moreover, these drinks are super simple to make and can be made with either tequila or alcohol-free. I have made dozens of cupcakes, and these lime cupcakes rank among my favourites.
With today’s margarita cupcakes, you’ll feel like you’re on vacation, are the ideal dessert for spring/summertime, and are wonderful for Cinco de Mayo. A little tequila is added to the cupcake base for that margarita taste, and cream cheese and lime zest, and juice are used in the frosting.
This cupcake combines the tang of cream cheese with the lime in the frosting, making the perfect balance of sweet and tangy without being too sweet or too limey. Cupcake versions of classic margaritas! The cupcakes have all the flavors of a margarita, but in a cupcake form.

14. Strawberry Cupcakes
In all honesty, I’ve never encountered a cupcake I didn’t like. My favorite cupcakes might be these moist, delicious strawberry cupcakes. Strawberry cream is a delicious flavoring for vanilla cupcakes. With chopped strawberries in the frosting, the frosting takes on new flavors, textures, and colors.
You might also be interested in strawberry swiss meringue frosting. The strawberries in this recipe are blended with freeze-dried fruit. The flavor contrasts beautifully with these luscious cupcakes. However, if you plan to use the frosting to top the cupcakes, cut everything in half. These cupcakes are flavored with chopped strawberries for a juicy, fruity taste.
The frosting is also important. Frosting, oh frosting. The buttercream frosting on cakes is one of my favorites. The creaminess and the richness are out of this world. Fresh chopped berries are not needed unless and until you add them. If you don’t want to decorate these cupcakes with strawberry buttercream frosting, you can eat it straight from the spoon!

15. Raspberry Lemon Poke Cupcakes
Whenever I hear the words raspberry-lemon, I get excited. With fresh raspberries studded in the cupcakes and lemon cream cheese frosting, these cupcakes are light and moist. The flavors complement each other perfectly, creating such a mouthwatering dessert. With raspberries, the sharpness and tang of lemon perfectly contrast with the sweetness and fruity flavor of raspberries. There is nothing better than these flavors swirled into ice cream, served in cocktails, or baked into a fabulous dessert!
Cakes are poked and then drenched with gelatin sauce to make poke cakes. Cake interiors become saturated with drizzle that seeps into the holes. Those are at least the reports I’ve heard. This is such a brilliant use of raspberry-lemon flavors, especially for a cupcake. There will be a lemon cupcake topped with lemon icing, raspberry drizzle, and lemon drizzle.

16. Key Lime Pie Cupcakes
There’s nothing better than a cupcake with all the flavors of key lime pie. Lime flavors that are bright and fresh, with a little tartness and sweetness to make a fun summery dessert. Having citrus desserts when it’s hot is the best. How about a heavy or warm dessert that will make you feel weighed down? I really enjoyed these cupcakes because they were fluffy, light, and very enjoyable.
This cupcake is made with key limes, which are smaller and slightly sweeter than regular limes. These cupcakes and the cream cheese frosting contain juice and zest from key limes. Having a smaller size than a regular lime, it takes longer to juice a key lime, but the results are worth it since nothing beats freshly squeezed juice. Three tablespoons are all you need to make the whole recipe, so it’s not too complicated.

17. Brownie Cupcakes
It will feel like you are eating brownies because they are fudgy, rich, and delicious. There is a silken dark chocolate buttercream that falls out of your mouth as soon as you bite into it. The ingredients for these are easy to find and they are quick to make. You won’t want to wait long for them to disappear because they are a huge hit.
Cupcakes can have a cakey texture that not everyone enjoys. Because of that, these Brownie cups are a great alternative! Make the cutest brownie sundae cupcakes by putting brownies in cupcake tins, adding ice cream, whipped cream, and maraschino cherries on top!

18. Churro Cupcakes
Throughout the week, I’ve dreamed of churros and I finally went to El Paso to get one. The Mexican sweets I’ve had have been sufficient for the month, but I’ve been craving more. Having Cinco de Mayo today, I decided to create these amazing cupcakes because everyone loves churro crullers donuts as a traditional Mexican and Spanish dessert.
Baking cupcakes does not require many ingredients. A butter, sugar, and flour mixture is used to begin the recipe. However, this recipe calls for both heavy cream and full-fat sour cream. My favorite churro cupcake is moist and delicious, and I think it beats any boxed or frozen version out there, as well as any Mexican or American bakery churro cupcake.
The Churro Cupcake wouldn’t be complete without some Churros, so I added a little frosting pipe to the top to hold it in place. Having the churro on top of your first bite is just the best. With such an engaging story, I was eager for a taste of the frosting!

19. Italian Cream Cupcakes
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to share an Italian cream cake recipe, but since there are so many of them already out there, I decided to create cupcakes instead. There is no doubt in my mind that I am a cupcake lover! Cake lovers can now enjoy all the love they get from cakes in individual, hand-held forms. Besides that, I’ve got a lot to learn on how to decorate them, I’m much more comfortable with them than an entire cake.
It’s hard to believe these cupcakes are not dreamy! Though raw eggs can be dangerous, I’d recommend avoiding eating the batter, but it’s the best cupcake batter I’ve ever found. That made me know the cupcakes would have to be good, and they were! With toasted coconut and pecans, along with that creamy richness from the cream cheese frosting, you get the perfect blend of toasted sweetness and crunch.

20. Mojito Cupcakes
The Itsy-Bitsy Kitchen, along with A Classic Twist, started cupcake Monday a couple of months back, and of course I jumped on board right away. As much as I love healthy salads, vegetables, and dips, I’ve never met a cupcake I didn’t like. Those who know me know that I would never miss an opportunity to indulge in a boozy dessert.
Make mojito cupcakes without thinking too far outside the box. Combine a great cake recipe with mint, lime, and rum to make one of the best cocktails ever. This recipe was adapted from Jessica Merchant’s gorgeous cookbook, The Pretty Dish, in which limes are emphasized and lemons are omitted.

21. Funfetti Cupcakes with Almond Buttercream
Wishing everyone a safe and healthy holiday season. The cookies in today’s post aren’t just quick to make since they are made from a box mix, but they are also incredibly easy to make. Having finished another year of university, these delicious Super Easy Funfetti Cupcakes are part of a celebration. In addition, baking supplies were scarce in the UK at the beginning of the lockdown. Almost everything on the shelves was out of stock and online retailers were striped.
There was a funfetti cake box mix in the back of the cupboard that I’d been meaning to use for a long time. The cake mix was from Pillsbury, but don’t worry, equivalent products are available in UK stores. These are commonly referred to as Rainbow Sprinkle Cake Mixes. Nevertheless, cake box mixes, when made as directed, tend to be bland on their own. In order to make the recipe a little richer and tastier, I made a few changes. There is a sweet almond buttercream in the frosting, sprinkles, and almond buttercream on top.

22. Pink Lemonade Cupcakes
Do pink lemonade cupcakes make sense in October? My seasons may seem muddled, but they are not. With my cupcake baking, I and Kitchenaid will raise funds for this great cause! A perfect tribute to the refreshing summer beverage, these cupcakes taste just like it. You’ll enjoy snacking on this dessert if you enjoy sipping pink lemonade.
Besides, you’ll probably post it there anyway. It would be great if we all made pink lemonade cupcakes even though we can’t have pink lemonade right now. Sweet lemon buttercream tops a fluffy lemon cupcake that’s fresh, tangy, and delightful. This cupcake is like summer in a bite, and it is topped with lemon buttercream frosting.

23. Carrot Cake Cupcakes
Carrot cake is perfect at any time of year, but for some reason, it feels especially wonderful in spring. This cake has a tender crumb, a highly moist texture, and a pronounced cinnamon spice flavor. In addition, we wouldn’t be honest if we didn’t say we were in it for the cream cheese frosting. Our favorite desserts involve smooth swoopy cream cheese frosting. It is impossible to beat these little cupcakes.
Carrot cake cupcakes combine all your favorite cake components in a portioned cupcake wrapper: outstanding spice flavor, moist crumb, and silky cream cheese frosting. You’re going to love these cupcakes that are easier, quicker, and just as delicious as my popular carrot cake recipe. The classic flavor combination of carrot cake and cream cheese frosting never goes out of style – we can all agree on that.

24. Moscato Cupcakes
These cocktail cupcakes feature strawberry Moscato wine this time! A sweet, slightly bubbly wine, Moscato, is used to spike vanilla cupcakes. Cupcakes are naturally sweeter when made with Moscato, which is a sweeter wine than most others. Strawberry moscato was my choice because of the pink frosting! Bubbles of pink wine give the cupcakes a fluffy and sweet texture. Using Moscato wine reduction for the buttercream frosting creates the perfect flavor and color.
I made these Moscato cupcakes using my champagne cupcakes recipe. This was an easy substitution because both wines were a little bubbly. Especially in the buttercream frosting, alcohol is clearly noticeable in either recipe. For those who don’t want to bother the expecting mama-to-be, you can leave out the Moscato and still have crisp, sweet, and light cupcakes.

25. Hummingbird Cupcakes
Using our classic Hummingbird Cake recipe, these cupcakes are reduced to cupcake size, and garnished with candied pineapple wedges, in celebration of the canned pineapples that provide the cake’s moistness. This recipe comes with a few rules for success that make it truly outstanding. To achieve the moist, quickbread-like texture of the layers, vegetable oil is used in place of butter. Before you begin, you must purchase a can of pineapple juice, which will not be drained.
This juice gives the cake batter such a great flavor and keeps it incredibly moist. Toasting your pecans is the last thing you should do! Baking cupcakes may cause some oil to leak through the paper liners. In this case, you can use grease-proof or aluminum foil muffin cups, or you can use greased and floured individual cups instead of paper liners.

26. Blueberry Buckle
A traditional buckle is topped with fruit and has a cake-like batter; as the cake cooks the fruit rises around it, or buckles. It is sweet, moist, and delicious with a crumbly streusel topping similar to a coffee cake dessert that my grandmother used to make. There is no effort involved in the process, and the results are stunning. Unlike most cake recipes, this one is made from scratch using sugar, butter, and eggs, followed by dry ingredients and milk alternately.
A blueberry crumbles, muffin or quick bread is a delicious summer dessert that holds up well. Blueberry desserts that have been infused with lemon flavor are the best. With blueberries, lemon zest can really bring a dish to life whether it is sweet or savory. The white part of the lemon’s skin is bitter, so you should only zest the yellow portion of its skin when zesting a lemon. I prefer to zest lemons both with a Microplane grater and a zester.

27. Mother’s Day Floral Cupcakes
You won’t believe how gorgeous these cupcakes are. Their Instagram-worthy appearance is matched only by their delicious taste. These strawberry jam cupcakes have a sweet buttercream frosting and a strawberry jam center. Mildly sweet cupcakes, tart jam, and buttery frosting combine perfectly for a delicious treat.
You’re sure to impress your mother with this Mother’s Day cupcake recipe. Sprinkle edible flowers on top and top with a light buttercream. Taking just 30 minutes to prepare, these vanilla-infused cupcakes make the perfect Mother’s Day gift. In each cupcake, strawberry jam filling fills the center. With this cupcake recipe, vanilla buttercream complements vanilla sponges nicely.
